Course Info
DMM’s hybrid Wilderness First Responder Recertification Course (WRC) refreshes the basics, delivers the latest peer-reviewed best practices and industry updates, reviews industry case studies, all while providing a contextual scenario-based learning experience.
Course participants will build the confidence to respond to an emergency and manage patients requiring prolonged field care.
Students must have a current WFR certification from DMM or another provider who follows the certification guidelines set forth by the Wilderness Medicine Education Collaborative (WMEC). Click here for more information on recertification and whether your certification is eligible for a DMM WRC.
What is a hybrid course?
Your Hybrid WFR Recertification consists of two parts:
Online Section
- Approximately 8 hours of self-paced pre-course work
- Available one month before the in-person section
- Must be completed before the first day of in-person class
- Included in the cost of the WFR Recertification course
In-person Class
- 2 days in-person
- Builds skills through realistic, hands-on scenario practice
- CPR and AED included
Registration Information
This course will be held about 15 minutes from the community of Blue Diamond, NV, just outside Las Vegas. Red Rocks is minutes away, so bring your gear!
